Original Newspaper from Memphis Press-Scimitar with front page coverage of Elvis Presley funeral dated Friday, August 19, 1977

Original Memphis newspaper has two, large colored photographs on front page titled “The King Makes Last Journey From Graceland” of the white hearse carrying Elvis’s casket leaving the gates of Graceland for the last time and “Friends Assist Father on Singing Star” of friends assisting Elvis’ father, Vernon Presley, from the Forest Hill Midtown Mausoleum the day of Elvis‘ funeral. Coverage continues in the Second Section of the paper with two large black and white photographs titled “Visitors Flock to Elvis’ Birthplace at Tupelo” and “Presley Mourners Outside Graceland Were Quiet and Somber During Services Inside.” Paper slightly yellowed in places, but not brittle and in good condition.
